Q1:
My DV Studio software installed OK but I get an error
message "Unable to start operation. Make sure DV
device is properly connected and ready" whenever I
click on capture mode button.
Ans.: This message appears when the DV device is not connected
or the Snazzi* III AV.DV PCI card has not been installed
properly. Please check that the device is firmly inserted
in the PCI slot and the DV camera is connected and ready
to use.

Q2:
I have Sony IP series camcorder but I am not able to
capture video using DV Studio software.
Ans.: Snazzi* III AV.DV cannot be used with this series of
camcorder. The reason being IP series camcorders record
high quality of MPEG 2 video at a transfer rate of 12 mbps
as a "Micro MV" format. In the result you can be
able to control the camera from Snazzi* DV Studio but you
can not get preview.

Q3:
Recording
stops automatically after a specified time without giving any message.
Ans.:
Check the Limited Time
Interval option in the duration option box located on
the main interface and click the radio button " Stop
Manually". Enable Load Optimized settings option in
Bios.

Q4:
DV Studio does not prompt for a file name after finishing
recording. It automatically set the file name. Why?
Ans.: You might have set the Generate
automatically option for the file name. Go to setup dialog
box - File name - Prompt for name (select this instead of
Generate automatically).

Q5: I want to change the default clip storage location. How
can i do that?
Ans.:
Open the setup dialog box and click the Browse button for
Recording folder selection. Select the folder of your
choice and go ahead.

Q6.:
I cannot record the DV back to camcorder with Snazzi* DV
Studio.
Ans.:
Due to several reasons most of the DV camcorders sold in
Europe don't have the ability to record via DV interface.
Please make sure that the DV in of your camcorder is
working otherwise you may not be able to send the DV back
to the tape after editing. Please also make sure that the
file size do not increase above 4GB. This is also one of
the main reasons that most of the customers having Snazzi*
III AV.DV fails to do loopback encoding.

Q7: I
am not able to convert the DV to MPEG even I launch Movie
Mill application with DV Studio.
Ans.: The latest version of Snazzi * III AV.DV does not require
you to launch the Movie Mill separately. Movie Mill
controls for MPEG recording have been integrated within DV
Studio AV.DV application.

Q8:
I cannot record longer than 20 minutes of DV video.
Ans.:
This is a FAT restriction. Win98 SE and WinME
have 4 gig limitation. Win2000 and WinXP do not have a problem
recording longer than 4 gig only if the partition is
formatted with NTFS file system.

Q9:
I get an error message when I try to transmit a DV NTSC
clip on PAL camcorder.
Ans.:
You can only transfer DV NTSC clips to an NTSC camcorder
or vice versa for PAL DV clips.

Q10: I am
not getting any preview while DV 2 MPEG processing.
Ans.: Please make sure to enable the checkbox option "Enable Preview while Dv 2 MPEG" in setup
dialog box.

Q11: I
always get an error message "You may need to
reinstall DV Studio" in Windows XP Hungry version.
Ans.:
We have not yet released DV Studio for WinXP Hungry
version therefore there may be some problems. We are
working on this issue and a patch will be released as soon
as possible.

Q12: When I
press start arming button, I get an error message "Unable to start. You may need to reinstall Movie
Mill ".
Ans.: This problem appears when the Movie Mill software is not
initiated by DV Studio. Please make sure that movie Mill
is installed and the drivers for V-One Bali device are
working fine. You can check the driver status in Device
Manager.

Q13: My captured DV clip is not supported by my editing
software.
Ans.: This problem may appear due to the DV file types. If you
are working with premiere, make sure to capture DV in
Type-II. In case of Ulead media Studio Pro, please capture
DV clips in Type-1 format.
